New License, Passport Year Begins March 1
Headlines

Friday, February 12, 1999

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks reminds hunters and anglers that all 1998 hunting and fishing licenses expire on February 28. To fish or pursue any game animals during scheduled 1999 seasons from March 1 through February 28, 2000, new 1999 licenses will be required.

FWP licensing officials emphasize that residents purchasing licenses must present a valid Montana driver's license or valid Montana Identification card. Those purchasing licenses for immediate family members also must present the accepted photo I.D. of the person for whom the license is purchased. For youngsters, 15 years of age and under, a Hunter Education Certification of Completion is acceptable.

The 1999 State Park Passports will permit recreationists unlimited access to all state parks where user fees are charged. New licenses and park passports will be available at all FWP offices and FWP license agents during the last week of February.
