The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Trapping Advisory Committee will hold its first meeting in Bozeman on Thursday, Nov. 19. At this meeting the group will initiate its efforts to identify conflicts between trapping and other recreational activities. The meeting will be held in the Beartooth Room at the Comfort Inn, 1370 North 7th Ave. in Bozeman and will begin at 10 am.
The 10-member committee, appointed last month by FWP Director Pat Graham, is charged with identifying conflicts between trapping and other outdoor recreational activities and recommending solutions to those problems. The committee has been asked to provide its recommendations in the form of regulation changes to be considered by the FWP Commission or as educational initiatives that could be incorporated into Montanas Trapper Education program. At its initial meeting, the committee will lay the foundation for its work during the next six months.
