The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will hold a public open house and a meeting in Havre on Thursday and Friday, October 1 and 2.
The open house, scheduled to take place from 7:30-9 p.m. in the Empire Building Room of the Great Northern Motel, 1300 1st St., is part of a Commission visit to north-central Montana that will include an official meeting of the Commission at the motel on Friday, October 2. The open house format will give Commissioners an opportunity to meet one-on-one with residents of north-central Montana and discuss issues or topics of personal interest to those in attendance.
On Friday, Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Empire Building Room to address a number of FWP-related matters. Heading the agenda for the meeting is tentative approval of the procedural rule for selling nonresident big game licenses in 1999 and tentative adoption of a rule for offering refunds to nonresidents who are not able to use their licenses. Among other matters, Commissioners are scheduled to adopt a final rule outlining those types of developments and uses that can take place at fishing access sites designated as "primitive."
The public is encouraged to attend the open house and Friday's official meeting. The FWP Commission makes every effort to ensure that its meetings are held at facilities that are fully accessible to persons with mobility disabilities. If you plan to attend this meeting and will need other special facilities or accommodations relating to a disability, please contact Patty Dumas at 444-7826.
