Friday, April 10, 1998Nonresident hunters who set their sights on taking antlerless whitetails in southeastern Montana each fall should be aware that the number of antlerless licenses available to nonresidents for use in southeastern Montana (Fish, Wildlife & Parks administrative Region 7) will be limited to 1,000 licenses in 1998.
The 1,000 antlerless whitetail licenses available will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis only from FWP's Miles City office. Applications will be available from the Miles City office of FWP beginning July 15. License agents will not have the applications or licenses at their establishments.
Nonresidents interested in obtaining an antlerless whitetail license for this fall should call (406) 232-0900 or write FWP, P.O. Box 1630, Miles City, MT 59301.
Hunters who requested nonresident applications or Big Game regulations through the Miles City office will automatically receive the antlerless whitetail application in July.
Nonresidents also may stop in at the office to get their names on the list for obtaining a license. But no licenses will be sold by the office until after July 15.
