Fish, Wildlife & Parks is once again sponsoring a statewide state parks poster contest for all fifth grade students in Montana.
The contest, the theme of which this year is "Montana State Parks: Families and Fishing Go Together," is an educational endeavor to enhance students' understanding, awareness and appreciation of what exists in Montana's state parks and to provide an opportunity for youngsters to use their creative talents to explain what it is about state parks that is important to them.
Winners receive U.S. Savings bonds and t-shirts with the winning poster design printed on them. The school submitting the winning poster entry will receive a video and books for its library. Deadline for contest entries is April 10, 1998.
Schools may contact Debbie Cheek at Fish, Wildlife & Parks, 1420 East Sixth Avenue, PO Box 200701, Helena MT 59620-0701; or call 444-4701, to request rules and entry forms.
