The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet Friday, February 7, at the Fish, Wildlife & Parks headquarters in Helena.
On the agenda for the meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m., is the adoption of final 1997 spring turkey and spring black bear harvest quotas, as well as the adoption of final harvest quotas for hunts that may be conducted if necessary over the winter of 1997-98 to reduce game damage problems. Commissioners also will be asked to consider for approval a total of 27 new project proposals to enhance Montana's fisheries that were recommended for funding by FWP's Future Fisheries Review Panel in January.
Among other business, the Commission will discuss options for using hunters when and where needed to control nuisance mountain lions in the future.
The public is welcome to attend.
