Changes In Montana Antlerless Deer And Antelope Licenses Noted

Montana Fish, Wildlife & parks officials are reminding hunters that the availability of certain licenses for the 1996 season has changed.

Due to observed declines in populations of the following species in some areas, for the 1996 season:

  • Multi-region Antlerless Mule Deer B Licenses are NOT be available for purchase over the counter from local license agents.
  • Over-the-Counter Antlerless White-tailed Deer B Licenses will be available, but hunters will need to specify which region they wish to hunt. These Deer B licenses valid for antlerless whitetails in individual regions are available for purchase at license agents and all FWP offices.
  • Multi-region Doe/Fawn Antelope Licenses are NOT for sale over the counter.
