Fri Mar 17 08:35:56 MDT 2017

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, has completed an environmental assessment (EA) for the Callahan Creek Unconsolidated Fill Removal Draft EA for the purpose of issuing a 124 permit to Lincoln County for the removal of unconsolidated sand and gravel placed by the county in January 2016.

The draft was out for a 15-day public review through March 15, 2017. Based on the analysis in the EA and review of public comment, it is recommended FWP issue a 124 permit to Lincoln County for the proposed substrate removal project on Callahan Creek with the stipulation that the project is carried out in accordance with the terms, descriptions, and timing supplied in the application, all general conditions listed, and the special conditions listed on the 124 permit.

Copies of the decision notice are available at the FWP office, 490 N. Meridian Rd., Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; FWP State Headquarters, 1420 E 6th Ave., Helena and available for viewing at local libraries.
