The South Fork Flathead westslope cutthroat trout conservation program will continue this fall with rotenone treatment of Lena Lake during September 5 through 10, 2013. The purpose of this project is to remove nonnative trout and the threat they pose to westslope cutthroat trout in the South Fork drainage. Westslope cutthroat trout will be restocked in Lena Lake the following spring to reestablish the recreational fishery. During this project, Lena Lake Trail #225 will be closed from September 5-10 and portions of trail #’s 110 and 212 will be closed September 7-8.
