BILLINGS — Camping and drive-in access to the Rosebud Isle fishing access site at Fishtail will be restricted from July 8-12 for biological control of weeds.
Campers and fishermen are asked to stay out of the fishing access site from early Monday, July 8, through the end of the day Friday, July 12. The restrictions will be lifted in time for weekend camping.
During the week, a contractor will graze a flock of sheep on the site to help control invasive, noxious weeds – an alternative to spraying chemicals.
During the week, fishermen will be allowed to walk into the site. A gate across the access road will remain closed while sheep are on the site.
