A public Kid’s Fishing Day will be held in the Broadus area on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at “Roerick’s Kid’s Fishing Pond”.  Ray and Lyn Roerick have partnered with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks to host this event. Children 16 and under are invited to bring their favorite rod and parent, grandparent or guardian to a fun packed day of fishing for rainbow trout.  Montana FWP will have fishing rods, tackle and bait available for use.

Bring your own lunch or there will be a barbecue grill available if you wish to bring hot dogs, brats or burgers.  Want to sample your catch?  Help will be there to introduce you to some favorite recipes for grilled trout!  Please bring a cooler and ice if you plan to transport your catch home.

From Broadus, Roerick’s Pond is located 6 miles east at the Little Powder River bridge on the left hand side of Hwy 212.    For questions or further information please contact Troy Hinck at 406-853-7700 or Thinck@mt.gov.
