BILLINGS — Construction to repair last spring’s flood damage at the Bundy Bridge fishing access site east of Billings is rescheduled for May 21-26.
Construction crews originally were set to begin work Monday, but the project was delayed for a week because of equipment availability.
A steel culvert beneath the access road to the site washed out during flooding in July. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Park temporarily replaced the culvert and repaired the road. Starting Monday, May 21, crews will replace the temporary patch with a concrete culvert and road repairs.
The fishing access site and access road will close to public use during construction. Crews anticipate that they will complete work and re-open the site by May 26.
The Bundy Bridge fishing access site is on the south bank of the Yellowstone River about 30 miles east of Billings near Pompeys Pillar.
