Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking comment on proposed fishing regulation changes for 2012-15. The changes, which would go into effect March 1, 2012, include regulations in the Western, Central and Eastern fishing districts.
In the Eastern Fishing District, catfish daily and possession limits are proposed to go from 20 daily and in possession to 10 fish daily and in possession, and a yellow perch limit of 25 fish daily and 50 in possession is proposed for Box Elder Reservoir near Plentywood. Other Eastern District regulation changes are being contemplated on the Tongue River and at Tongue River Reservoir.
Full details on all of the changes being proposed across the state, as well as opportunities to file comments electronically, are available on the FWP website at fwp.mt.gov by clicking on the "Proposed Fishing Regulation Changes" section.
