Ice Fishing

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks recently approved 20 ice-fishing contests for this winter.

Participants entered in the contests may catch and keep fish entered, but must comply with state fishing regulations, including daily and possession limits. No holiday weekend contests are allowed and contests on the same body of water may not be held on consecutive weekends.

• 3rd Annual Perch Pounder, February 1-25, 2006 at all Region 1 waters
• Salmon Slam, February 25, 2006 at Thompson Chain of Lakes
• Ryan Wagner Memorial Ice Fishing Derby, February 26, 2006 at Murphy Lake
