The Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board will meet on Wednesday, August 21 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the CSKT Natural Resources Office at 301 Main Street in Polson. The agenda includes discussion of the CSKT Draft Environmental Impact Statement: Proposed Strategies to Benefit Native Species by Reducing the Abundance of Lake Trout in Flathead Lake, Montana. The public comment period for the DEIS closed on August 5, 2013. Board Chairman Joe Brenneman invites the public to attend.
The Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board includes three state members, three CSKT members, and one member from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Board was established pursuant to the State/Tribal agreement on managing fish and game birds within the boundaries of the reservation.
