The next meeting of Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ regional Prairie Dog Implementation Committee is Monday, Feb. 4 starting at 2:30 p.m. at the First Creek Hall in southern Phillips County.

The committee charged with advising FWP on prairie dog conservation invites landowners and residents of the area who may be affected by prairie dog complexes to hear about the group’s work and to provide input on all aspects of prairie dog conservation.

The Feb. 4 meeting is the fifth for the PDIC, which last month heard various perspectives related to incentives that could increase landowners’ tolerance of prairie dogs. The group is scheduled to meet a final time on Feb. 19 in Havre.

Call Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Glasgow office at 228-3700 with questions, directions or if you need special accommodations to attend the meeting.
