Enforcement - Region 5
BILLINGS — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks reopened its Silver Run Wildlife Management Area south of Red Lodge this week. It was closed to the public Aug. 21 because of safety concerns from the nearby Rock Creek wildfire and to accommodate firefighting crews and equipment.
The fire was mostly contained this week and crews removed their equipment from the parking area on the wildlife management area.
Rehabilitation of bulldozed fire lines could continue through this fall, so visitors, hunters and hikers should remain vigilant while spending time on the wildlife management area.
