State officials are seeking information about recent vandalism at the Base Pond Fishing Access Site north of Glasgow near St. Marie.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Warden Brad Balis said signs and posts at the site were shot repeatedly, litter was left behind, and off-road travel caused damage to the area. Evidence at the scene indicated that numerous weapons and calibers were used. The vandalism took place within the past week or so, Balis said.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact Balis directly at 406-876-1474, or FWP’s TIP-MONT hotline at 1-800-847-6668. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
