Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is offering fall hunter education classes in the Helena area beginning Sept.8, at two locations: C.R. Anderson Middle School and East Helena Middle School.
Online registration is required and students under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian.Prospective students must be at least 11 years old.

Students must attend all sessions, pass the class and successfully complete field day activities to be certified.
To register, visit FWP's website at fwp.mt.gov, then click the Hunter Education icon. Students must print, sign and bring the "Acknowledgement of Risk," "Letter to Parents," and the "Student Code of Ethics" forms the first night of class. Students under 18 years old, must have parent or guardian sign the appropriate forms. Students are not allowed to bring firearms or ammunition to class.
Prior to the first class, students are required to read the hunter education manual and complete all chapter quizzes. If not completed, students will not be admitted. Manuals can be picked up at FWP Headquarters at 1420 E. Sixth Ave., or at Montana WILD, 2668 Broadwater Ave., next to Spring Meadow Lake State Park off Highway 12 West.
