If you think Easter egg hunts are fun, wait until you try "shed" hunting on April 19 at Montana Wild.
At the Youth Shed Hunt, sponsored by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, kids ages 8 and older will have the opportunity to:
- visit three different 30-minute wildlife stations, featuring moose, elk and deer;
- search for shed antlers
- see some of the world's largest bull elk at the RMEF's Great Elk Tour Exhibit
The 90-minute program begins at 1 p.m. on April 19 at the Montana Wild Education Center, 2668 Broadwater Ave, next to Spring Meadow Lake State Park off Highway 12 West. Pre-registration is required. To register call Montana Wild at 406-444-9944.
