Hunter Education Classes Planned for Hamilton and Lone Rock

Hunter Education classes are planned for Hamilton and Lone Rock School in February and March. Complete schedules and registration for all classes are available online now at fwp.mt.gov.

In Hamilton, a mandatory orientation is set for Feb. 17 from 7-8pm for registered students and a parent or legal guardian. Classes are Feb. 24, 25, & 27 and March 3, 4, 6 & 10 from 7-9pm each evening. A field course is planned for Saturday, March 8. Orientation and classes are at the Hamilton Assembly of God Church (601 West Main Street).

Classes for Lone Rock School (1112 Three Mile Creek Road) between Stevensville and Florence are March 3 through March 8 from 6-9p.m. each evening. A parent or legal guardian must accompany students to the first night of class.

Classes are free and a student must be at least 11 years old to be certified. Any person born after January 1, 1985 must present a Hunter Education Certificate in order to purchase a hunting license in Montana.
