Bear Awareness at Montana Wild April 18

Learn how, where and why Montana's grizzly bear population is expanding. Join Laurie Evarts, Montana Wild's education program manager, to learn about the recovery of this federally threatened species.

Evarts' free one-hour class set for April 18 at Montana Wild will cover and how to: hike and hunt in bear country, create a safe campsite, recognize bear signs, understand bear behavior, avoid and handle bear encounters, and properly use bear spray. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m.
