Polar Bear Program At Montana Wild On February 27

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will host a free program on the polar bears of Churchill, Canada, at Montana Wild, 2668 Broadwater Ave., next to Spring Meadow Lake State Park off Highway 12 West.

The program, set for Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m., will be led by Cherrie Angel of East Helena, who recently traveled to Canada for a polar bear ecology field course under the direction Dr. Charles Jonkel. Angel will share photos and information about the natural history and ecology of polar bears and the area's local culture.
