If the sport of stand up paddle boarding has caught your interest, learn the basic skills and techniques at classes offered by the Montana Wild Education Center and Base Camp.

Two free paddle boarding classes are set for July 5 from 6-7 p.m. and again from 7-8 p.m. at Spring Meadow Lake State Park, 930 Country Club Ave., in Helena.

The classes will showcase paddle boarding, a sport that has been sweeping the nation. Participants should dress to get wet and wear water shoes or sandals.

The Base Camp will provide the paddle boards and paddles. FWP will supply the life jackets, which are required for this sport.

The classes are geared for adults and youth 10 years of age and older when accompanied by a parent/guardian.
To register and reserve space in the 6 or 7 p.m. class, call Montana Wild at 444-9944.
