Hunter Education Class Planned for Potomac

A hunter education course is planned for Potomac in May, and students can register online now. Classes are May 16, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25 & 27 from 6:30-9 p.m. each evening at the Potomac Community Center.

To register, go online now to fwp.mt.gov and click on “Hunter Education Course Schedule” on the main page. A parent or legal guardian must attend the first night of class on Monday, May 16 to sign a permission form and hear the class rules and expectations. Students that are unable to register online can also register in-person on the first night of class.

Classes are free, and a student must be at least 11 years old to receive certification. Any person born after January 1, 1985 must present a Hunter Education Certificate in order to purchase a hunting license in Montana.
