FWP Seeks Comment On Outdoor Discovery Center Improvements

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking comment on a proposal to improve facilities at the Montana Outdoor Discovery Center at Spring Meadow Lake State Park, west of Helena.

 Proposed improvements include a children’s “discovery area,” an aquatic education and fishing dock, a youth archery and air gun range, a new group-use shelter, and a new vault latrine.

 A draft environmental assessment on the proposed improvements is available for review and comment on FWP’s website, at fwp.mt.gov. Click “Public Notices.”

A public meeting to discuss the proposal is set for June 30 at FWP’s Helena Headquarters, 1420 E. 6th Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. The comment deadline is July 16 at 5 p.m.
