If you are among the approximately 50,000 nonresidents planning to snowmobile in Montana this year, remember to purchase the $25 per machine nonresident temporary permit. If you are a Montanan who rides with friends from out of state, please remind them this permit is mandatory and that the fee goes to help the state’s local snowmobile clubs keep trails groomed.
