A fall hunter education class has been sheduled for Miles City. The 3-day class has been scheduled for September 12th, 23rd, and 24th and is offered free of charge to the public. Any hunters who are 12 years of age or older or who will turn 12 during the hunting season are required to complete a hunter education class before purchasing any hunting licenses. This class is required for adults that have turned 18 years of age after January 1, 1985, who have not completed a prior Hunter Education course, but want to hunt this fall.
Registration and the first session of class will be held Tuesday, September 12th from 7-9 p.m. in Miles Community College, room 106. All children must be accompanied by a parent for this first class. The second session will be Saturday, September 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Region 7 Headquarters. The final session will be Sunday, September 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a field course to be held at Spotted Eagle Recreation Area from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Student are required to bring a sack lunch and beverages and two snacks to class each day.
Students must attend the entire registration night and both day classes in order to graduate.

In addition, there will be no fall Hunter Education class in Colstrip this year. There will be a class in Ashland beginning September 5th at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Labre Fire Hall.
