The public is invited to attend Liaison Team meetings during October between Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and landowners for the Kootenai Valleys, Swan Valley, and Thompson and Fisher River conservation easements. Online registration is still open for the Kalispell Hunter Education Course. Students must register online, and attend the orientation on Friday evening, September 26, any time between the hours of 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Headquarters on North Meridian Road in Kalispell. At the orientation, students will pick up pre-course materials and receive further instructions. It will require about 20 minutes for students to go through the orientation. A game skinning seminar will be held at FWP Headquarters on Saturday September 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the back parking lot. The seminar will cover techniques to cape big game animals and skin game birds. Also included will be care of downed animals and practical tips on preparing animals for the taxidermist.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will present a duck-identification workshop, tailored to waterfowl hunters, Thursday Sept. 18 in Billings. The free class will begin at 7 p.m. at FWP’s Region 5 headquarters, 2300 Lake Elmo Dr. in Billings Heights.
