Thu Sep 28 11:58:12 MDT 2017

Monarchs and Milkweed: Creating Space for Pollinators – October 18, 5:30-7:30 PM Monarch butterfly populations are in decline, largely due to a decline in habitat, specifically – milkweed. Join MT WILD and the Endangered Species Coalition to create a “Monarch Waystation” by planting native milkweed around the Center. Following the planting activity, biologist Glenn Marangelo from the Missoula Insectarium will give a short presentation on the life history and conservation status of the North American monarch butterfly. The milkweed planting starts at 5:30 and should last approximately one hour. The presentation should start around 6:30 pm. Bring gardening gloves and a friend. Please call 444-9944 to register.
