Montana WILD Hosts Free Wild Film Thursday

The second in the series of free films of the Montana WILD film festival will show next Thurs-day, March 22. The first film will start at 7 p.m. and explores the wild in you, by exploring wild-life, places, culture, and waterways through captivating short films.

Hunter Education Classes Offered Across Region 6 for Youth and Adults

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Hunter Education course dates have been set for many areas across Region 6. All hunter education classes are free of charge. Many classes are being held prior to the March 15 application deadline for special permits for deer and elk. Future application deadlines include May 1 for moose, sheep and goat, and June 1 for deer B, elk B and antelope.

Butte 2018 Spring Hunter Education Open for Registration

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will hold its spring Butte hunter education class beginning Monday, April 2 at Highlands College (formerly Montana Tech College of Technology – 25 Basin Creek Road). Online registration is required, and students under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian.

No matter what the forecast says, spend some time exploring the first showing in the series of the Montana WILD film festival. Each series features recent films from independent filmmakers coupled with local and regional experts and a short discussion about the films’ themes. Each evening focuses on a new topic: Wild Animals (Feb. 22), Wild Places (March 22), Wild Culture (April 26), and Wild Rivers (May 24).
