On Tuesday, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks announced the spring 2014 hunter education course in Dillon will be held on April 22, 24, 28, 29 and May 1 at the Dillon Middle School from 6-9 p.m. The Field Day will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dillon Rifle and Pistol Club Range. Online registration is required and students under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian. (Region 3 - Education - 03/11/2014)
A total of 61 sheep were captured on Wild Horse Island State Park on February 26 and 27. FWP contracted with a helicopter wildlife service to capture the sheep. The operation was conducted cooperatively with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.

A number of bowhunter education classes have been scheduled for northwest Montana. All students must register online (Register online at fwp.mt.gov, click education) for the following courses. When registering, students will note specific information and guidelines for the course included in the online posting.All first-time bowhunters regardless of age must complete the Bowhunter Education Course to purchase an archery stamp in Montana.
