Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks land in Treasure County Under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions

Effective at noon, Thursday, August 6, 2009 acreage under MFWP management in Treasure County are under Stage 1 fire restrictions. This affects Isaac Homestead Wildlife Management Area, Meyers Bridge Fishing Access Site and Amelia Island.

 

Stage I Fire Restrictions are Defined as:

The following acts are prohibited until further notice:

1.  Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire or campfire.

2.  Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable materials.

 

FWP requests cooperation from the public to implement Stage 1 restrictions in an effort to avoid the potential for a wildland fire start in Treasure County.
