Drought & Fire - Region 3

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) reminds visitors to Montana’s state parks and fishing access sites that they need to leave the fireworks at home.

State law says no one may set off fireworks on any FWP lands. Anyone using fireworks to show their patriotism may be charged with a misdemeanor that can result in a fine up to $500.

The public is encouraged to enjoy Montana’s outstanding state parks and fishing access sites over the holiday by camping, fishing, discovering Montana history, hiking, and many other fun activities. But keep it safe and legal by displaying your exuberance in other ways than with fireworks!
