Private Land/Public Wildlife Council Meets March 7-8 In Helena

The Private Land/Public Wildlife (PL/PW) Council will meet on Monday, March 7, from 1 – 5 p.m., and Tuesday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Helena at Montana WILD, located at 2668 Broadwater Avenue.

On Monday afternoon, the council will focus on member orientation, council charge, operating ground rules, work processes, meeting schedules and priorities. On Tuesday, sessions will include work on several pre-determined issues that may require attention during the 2017 legislative session.

The 17-member council, appointed by the Governor, is charged with reviewing FWP access programs and offering recommendations to help achieve program goals and maintaining good relations between hunters and landowners.

Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting and observe council proceedings. A time for members of the public to address comments to the council is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
