BILLINGS — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking applications to fill as many as seven volunteer positions on its Region 5 Citizen Advisory Council.
The CAC meets four times annually in Billings and works with FWP staff to provide input and guidance on the many natural resource and management issues addressed by the department in south central Montana. Citizen advisors serve in a voluntary capacity with meals and travel expenses provided for a two-year term. The meetings, which are open to the public, are devoted to two or three main topics, though citizen advisors come to meetings prepared to discuss the whole breadth of FWP business, from wildlife, parks and fisheries management to access, habitat, recreation and law enforcement.
Applications are available from the FWP’s Region 5 headquarters at 2300 Lake Elmo Road in Billings Heights or from Dianne Stiff at email@example.com. Completed applications are due at the Region 5 office by April 16, 2014.
