Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Region 6 Citizens Advisory Council will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 16 at Glasgow’s Cottonwood Inn.
The meeting will include a public open forum and question-and-answer session with FWP Director Jeff Hagener from 1:00 – 2:15 p.m.
The rest of the meeting is also open to the public and will include an update on the Region 6 fishing access site program, an overview of pending biennial hunting season regulations, a presentation on the statewide licensing advisory committee’s work, details about potential future FWP funding scenarios, and a member roundtable discussion. Public comments on any issue involving the agency will be accepted during the open forum period.
Each of FWP’s seven administrative regions has a volunteer CAC to help guide policies and programs. The Region 6 group, which currently has 12 members, meets three times a year.
