FWP Region 6 Citizens Advisory Council Meets January 11 in Glasgow

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Region 6 Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) will meet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 11 at the Cottonwood Inn in Glasgow.
 
The meeting, which is open to the public, will feature a presentation by FWP’s Eileen Ryce on aquatic invasive species and their local impacts, a demonstration of various trapping techniques, a review of pending legislative issues, discussion of a proposal to transplant 40 sage grouse from Region 6 to Alberta and renewal of the Fort Peck Fisheries Management Plan, a member roundtable and program updates from Region 6 FWP managers. Time for public comment is reserved at the beginning of the meeting.
 
Each of FWP’s seven administrative regions has a volunteer CAC to help guide policies and programs. The Region 6 group, which has 15 members, meets three times a year. For more information about the council, call 406-228-3700.
