Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission to meet in Chinook

The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will hold a public open house and meeting Oct. 11 and 12 in Chinook at the Chinook Motor Inn.

A public open house with the Commission will be held Oct. 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The commission meeting will convene the following morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.

During the day on Oct. 11, the Commission will tour a ranch south of Chinook, weather permitting, where FWP is considering a conservation easement.

The meeting will cover the following items:

  • Petition to Repeal Cromwell Channel No-Wake Zone ARM
  • ARM Amendments to Wake Restrictions on the Missouri River in Great Falls - Proposed
  • 2018 Fishing Regulations
  • Little Belt Creek Instream Flow Water Right Lease (R4)
  • Misner - Teton River Instream Flow Water Right Lease (R4)
  • Fargo Coulee Conservation Easement (R4)
  • Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area Farming Leases (R3)
  • Wall Creek Wildlife Management Area Grazing Lease Renewal (R3)
  • Ear Mountain Grazing Leases (R4)
  • Blackfoot Clearwater Wildlife Management Area Conifer Expansion and Grassland Restoration Project (R2)
  • West Kootenai Wildlife Management Area Fire Salvage Project (R1)
  • Nevada Lake Wildlife Management Area Forestry Project (R2)
  • Timber Gulch Access Easement (R3)
  • Tenderfoot Conservation Easement (R4)

  • Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Plan Update
