The Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission is seeking proposals from groups or individuals interested in auctioning a 2014 bighorn sheep, moose, mountain goat, deer or elk hunting license to raise conservation funds.

The commission will consider proposals from wildlife conservation organizations or individuals seeking the opportunity to auction the hunting licenses. The deer and elk licenses may also be offered via lottery ticket sales.

Organizations can retain up to 10 percent of the auction revenue to cover administrative costs.

Last year's auctions were conducted by the Foundation for Northern American Wild Sheep, Safari Club International, the Mule Deer Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Application deadline is July 15.

Send proposals to Montana FWP, Licensing Section, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701. The commission will consider proposals in August.
