

Montana’s Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission will meet July 7-8 at the FWP Helena Headquarters, 1420 East 6th Ave.
The FWP Commission business meeting on July 8 will begin at 8:30 a.m. with final decisions on the FWP budget, legislative proposals for 2011, and the Beaverhead and Big Hole River recreation rules.
Other final decisions will be made on the 2010-2011 wolf hunting seasons, quotas and hunting district boundaries; a plan to use funds raised for nongame species through the Montana income tax check off; the 2010 deer, elk and antelope quotas outside the biennial quota ranges; the 2010 upland game bird quotas and limits; and the 2010 hunting access agreements.
The commission will also consider proposals for the classification of some exotic species; adjustments to the elk plan; and the 2010 early season migratory bird hunting regulations.
Commissioners will hold discussions on a series of conservation and access easements proposed in FWP Regions 4, 5, 6 and 7 and potential expansion of the Big Lake WMA in FWP Region 5.
At a work session on July 7 beginning at 3 p.m., the FWP Commission will discuss wolf management and some proposed land acquisitions, followed by an informal dinner at about 7 p.m. at the Silver Star restaurant in the Great Northern Center.
