Axtell Fishing Access Site to Close Temporarily on November 7

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announces that the Axtell Fishing Access Site on the Gallatin River southwest of Bozeman will be closed for improvements beginning on November 7, 2005.

 

The portion of the site on the east side of the Gallatin River will remain closed through early December 2005 while Hall Construction Services of Belgrade constructs a new entrance road and new parking areas. Additionally, the site will be reconfigured to accommodate more visitors and vehicles. The portion of the site on the west side of the Gallatin River will remain open and available for the public to use and enjoy.

 

“We apologize for any inconvenience this improvement project may cause and ask for the public’s cooperation during this period,” said Tom Greason, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 3 Fishing Access Site Manager.
