Mountain Lion Hunting To Close Hunting Districts In Regions 3

The hunting of mountain lions in two Montana hunting districts in Region 3 will close at one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014:

Closed to hunting of female mountain lions:

• HD 340 – which includes portions of Beaverhead, Madison, Jefferson & Silver Bow counties.

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

• HD 317 – which includes portions of Park County.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the districts had been met.
