Mountain Lion Hunting To Close Hunting Districts In Regions 2 & 3

The hunting of mountain lions will close several Montana hunting districts in Region's 2 & 3 at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013:

Close to hunting of female mountain lions:

• HD 339, 343, & 388 – which includes portions of Lewis & Clark, and Jefferson counties

Close to hunting of male mountain lions:

• HD 213 & 214 – which includes portions of Granite, Powell, and Deer Lodge counties

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the districts had been met.
