Mountain Lion Hunting To Close In Several Region 2 HD's

The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region 2 will close at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013:

Close to hunting of female mountain lions:

  • HD 211 & 216 – which includes portions of Granite and Missoula counties;

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

  • HD 204, 260 & 261 – which includes portions of Granite, Missoula and Ravalli counties;

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the district(s) had been met.
