The hunting of all mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region's 3, 4 and 5 will close at one-half hour after sunset on February 23, 2013:

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

• HD's 300, 302, 328 & 329 – which includes portions of Beaverhead county;
• HD's 411 & 412 – which includes portions of Golden Valley, Fergus, and Judith Basin counties;
• HD's 530 & 590 – which includes portions of Fergus, Golden Valley, Musselshell, Petroleum, Big Horn and Yellowstone counties.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the district(s) had been met.
