This news release was archived on Friday, March 23, 2012

The hunting of female mountain lions in western Montana hunting district, HD 250, which includes portions of Ravalli County, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Thursday, February 23, 2012.

The order halting the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest sub-quota for the district had been met.
