The hunting of all mountain lions in HD’s 422, 423, 424, 425 & 442, which include portions of Lewis & Clark and Teton counties closed at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, December 20, 2010.

The hunting of mountain lions in several Region 2 and Region 3 hunting districts will close at one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. The hunting districts are:

Close To Female Mountain Lions:

• HD 280, 281, 284 & 293 – which include portions of Powell and Lewis and Clark counties.

Close to All Mountain Lion:

• HD 318 & 350 – which include portions of Jefferson and Silver Bow counties,
• HD 331 – which include portions of Beaverhead, Silver Bow and Madison counties.

The hunting of mountain lions in several Region 1 and Region 3 hunting districts will close at one-half hour after sunset on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. The hunting districts are:

Close to Female Mountain Lions:

• HD 370 & 380 – which include portions of Broadwater, Jefferson and Lewis and Clark counties.

Close to All Mountain Lions:

• HD 140 – which include portions of Flathead county.

The closure notice for the hunts came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quotas and sub-quotas for the districts had been met.
