By order of the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission, hunting district 501 as described in the legal descriptions, 2008 Montana regulations, Moose, Sheep and Goat shall be closed to hunting of ALL bighorn sheep, effective one-half hour after sunset on Friday, November 28, 2008.

The order halting the hunt came after the pre-established harvest quota for the district had been met.
