FWP seeking information about Pryor Mountains poaching


Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are offering a reward for information about an elk that was killed illegally in the Pryor Mountains south of Billings last weekend.

FWP Citizen Advisory Committee Meets on September 26


The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) Citizen Advisory Committee will meet this evening, September 26 (Public meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.) at the Region One FWP Headquarters on North Meridian Road in Kalispell. At the meeting, CAC members will pass along advice on issues of concerns and hear from Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Gary Wolfe. The FWP Region One Citizen Advisory Committee is a volunteer group that meets several times per year to advise FWP on programs and activities. The public is invited to attend CAC meetings. There are CAC groups in every FWP Region. For more information, call FWP at 752-5501.

FWP Hosting Open House & Commission Meeting in Miles City


MILES CITY, Mont. -- Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Director Jeff Hagener and members of the Fish & Wildlife Commission will be in Miles City Oct. 9-10 to host a public open house and conduct the commission's regular monthly meeting.

Bighorn Sheep Season To Close In Hunting District 500


By order of the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission, hunting district 500, which includes portions of Park and Sweet Grass counties, will be closed to all hunting of bighorn sheep, effective one-half hour after sunset on Monday, September 23, 2013.
