Fort Peck Reservation Moose Poaching Case Resolved

A Roosevelt County man has entered into a deferred prosecution agreement and agreed to pay a $500 state fee over the illegal killing of four moose on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in 2008.

All Wolf Hunting To Close In WMU 101

The hunting of all wolves in Montana Wolf Management Unit 101, which includes portions of Lincoln and Flathead Counties, in northwestern Montana, will close, Thursday, December 29, at one half-hour after sunset.

FWP SEEKS PUBLIC COMMENT ON OPEN WATER FISHING CONTESTS

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on fishing contest proposed for the open water season of 2012. Participants in these contests must comply with state fishing regulations, including daily and possession limits. Most contests require catch-and-release fishing and participants in these contests may not keep any fish.

Bobcat Season To Close In Trapping District 3

By order of the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission, the season for taking bobcats in Trapping District 3 in southwestern Montana will close at midnight on the evening of Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
