FWP Seeks Public Comment on Proposed New Grazing Lease on Robb-Ledford WMA

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on an environmental assessment for a proposal to establish a new grazing lease on the Robb-Ledford Wildlife Management Area on the western slopes of the Snowcrest Mountains approximately 20 miles south of Alder.

Pictograph Cave State Park hours changing

Pictograph Cave State Park southeast of Billings will change to its autumn schedule starting Tuesday. The state park will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the new visitor center will open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Oct. 31.

WMA to close for road construction

The Yellowstone Wildlife Management Area will close to the public starting Friday for improvement of 3.7 miles of road. It is expected to remain closed for as long as 30 days.

Hunter Education in Belgrade, Bozeman, Butte, Livingston

The dates are set for fall hunter education classes in Belgrade, Bozeman, Butte, and Livingston. Registration is required for all classes and students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. FWP-certified instructors conduct the classes. Any person born after January 1, 1985, must present a Hunter Education Certificate in order to purchase a hunting license in Montana. A student must be 11 years old to receive certification. The schedules are as follows:
