Commercial Use Of Montana Fwp Lands Topic Of Thursday Meeting

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will hold a series of public meetings as the first step in developing rules that would govern the commercial use of lands and waters managed by FWP. The Kalispell meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 2 at the FWP office on 490 North Meridian Road.

FWP Region 3 CAC to Meet in Bozeman February 2

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 3 will hold its first-ever Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2006 beginning at 6 p.m. at the FWP Region 3 Headquarters in Bozeman (1400 S. 19th Avenue). The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. The meeting is scheduled to adjourn at 9:30 p.m.

Local Hunter & Bowhunter Education Instructors Receive Awards

They may not have classrooms or retirement plans, but a group of southeastern Montana educators have accumulated a combined 115 years of teaching experience. They’re local Hunter and Bowhunter Education instructors, and what makes their service even more remarkable is that every hour of teaching has been voluntary. Together, they have taught thousands of southeastern Montana youth about gun safety, the subtleties and challenges of bowhunting, hunter ethics and behavior.

Comment Sought on Ulm Pishkun Projects

Fish, Wildlife and Park officials are seeking public comment on a proposal to expand the visitor center parking lot and build a new maintenance garage at Ulm Pishkun State Park.
